Physiotherapists' combine their in-depth knowledge of the body and how it works with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose and treat symptoms of illness, injury or disability. They work with you to form an individualized treatment plan to meet your unique goals for returning to your chosen activity. Treatments can involve manual therapy, exercise prescription with home program, education, activity advice and modification, functional dry needling and use of modalities.
Chiropractic
Most often, the word "chiropractic" is associated with the spinal adjustment. While this is often true, the root of the word chiropractic, means "by hand", which is a great description of what you will find at Embrace, since chiropractic is so much more than the adjustment.
Chiropractors combine their in-depth knowledge of the body with specialized hands-on clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions- or in laymen terms injuries affecting nerves, muscles, and joints. Your treatment will be tailored to your unique needs and goals. Each treatment will likely consist of some combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapies such as Active Release or Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy, movement re-education, and home exercises when indicated.
Massage Therapy
Massage is typically considered part of integrative and complementary rehabilitation. It is increasingly popular and offered as standard treatment for a large variety of medical conditions. Studies of massage benefits conclude that it is an effective way of reducing pain, stress, and muscle tension.
Recovery
These appointments are meant for current patients of Embrace who have received the proper instruction & clearance for use.
Our Recovery Station is meant to assist in recovery, maintaining and improving performance and overall wellbeing. We offer use of NormaTec Pulse Pro 2.0 compression boots, massage gun, foam roller & mobility aid.
